It is with great sadness and pain in our hearts that we have to announce the passing of one of our own.

Jerri "Missy" Headrick passed away in February 2008 as a result of a long illness. She will be greatly missed.

Whitfield Emergency Medical Service is part of the Hamilton Health Care System. Whitfield EMS (WEMS) contracts with Whitfield County to manage its emergency ambulance system. WEMS is designated by the State of  Georgia as an Advanced Cardiac Life Support service which serves approximately 84,000 residents of Whitfield County and the many others that commute through the area handling approximatley 15,000 calls for service per year. Whitfield County is located in the foothills of Northwest Georgia where Dalton is known as the "Carpet Capital of the World".
