Rick Cobb

Rick Cobb's Career in the medical field started in 1976 when he completed Emergency Medical Training here in Dalton . Rick started working for the local ambulance company until he joined the U.S. Army in 1982 where he spent 4 years as a Combat Medic in the 82nd Airborne Division. Rick was hired in December 1985 as a Supervisor at Whitfield EMS when the service began.
Rick was one the founding members of the Dalton/Whitfield Safe Kids Coaltion in 1986 and served as Chairman of the Coaltion in 1989 until 2000. In 1989 Rick was Region 1 EMT Instructor of the Year and 1990 Region 1 EMT of the Year. Rick has been named 2005 Paramedic of the Year for Region One EMS.
He has been married for over 20 years and together they are raising three girls and one boy. Rick is very active in his church and community serving on their Medical Team and other committees.
Rick's philosophy of emergency medicine is more than taking care of peoples injuries and illness. He believes we should take care of the person.
