In the city limits there are four stations. In addition to their fire safety responsibilities, Dalton Fire Department responds to motor vehicle accidents, industrial accidents, and calls for request with WEMS. They too can provide life saving interventions with AED, oxygen, and controlling bleeding until the ambulance arrives.
In addition to the County First Responder of the Year award, we have decided for this to be the first year that we would award an individual from Dalton City Fire Department due the strengthened relationship, training, and support that we have received from them. Whitfield EMS is pleased to announce that Fire Fighter Brandon Bray has been selected from an outstanding group of nominations. Brandon Bray has been with the city fire department since March 1996. Brandon is currently certified in the state of Georgia Emergency Medical Technician – Intermediate and serves full-time at city station 3 located at Haig Mill Road and the North Bypass.
