On 12-06-2006 WEMS had their Awards Banquet. Several employees got honored with awards for services rendered. In attendance besides WEMS employees and management were, Dr Pullen; WEMS Medical Director and HMC ER Director, Mrs Dixon; Whitfield County Coroner, Mr. Russell Brown; recipient of the Distinguished Service Award.

In total, 46 rewards were issued. The most coveted being the Employee of the Year.

This year's recipient of the Employee of the Year award is Mrs Janell Chapman!
