Values And Traits Statement

• Each member of the WEMS Management Team selected a value or trait that they felt was important to them. They agreed to be the “value bearer” for that particular ideal. The value or trait they selected is one they feel they can faithfully practice and be held accountable for. Each value bearer will be personally responsible for setting the standard for his or her chosen quality that the rest of the group will aspire to reach.

• Each member of the management team agreed to adopt one another’s values and traits as their own. We also agreed to support the value bearer in setting an ever-higher standard for the group. We agreed to let team members both individually and collectively know when any of us is not practicing one of these WEMS values or traits.

Integrity: Honesty and trust are important to me. I will be straightforward when dealing with personnel. I will strive to lead a lifestyle that demonstrates honesty, one that develops trust of our employees and always reflects positively on the image of Whitfield EMS. Rick Cobb

Compassion: I will respect others and show respect by not under-mining or gossiping about others. I will share credit and speak well of others lifting them up for their accomplishments. I will encourage others if they are experiencing difficulties in their private or professional lives. Christie Tankersley

Fairness: I will apply the same rules to everyone. I will treat everybody fairly and have no favorites. I will strive in my job to provide every employee with the necessary time, resources and training to do their job to the best of their ability. Nancy Rader

If we work as a team on these traits and uphold these values, WEMS should reflect Hamilton Healthcare’s ideals of Competence, Compassion, Customer Focus and Cost-Effectiveness.
